Hi.
I recently joined the online rat race and started my own blog.
It's called BlogEverything (only thing I could think of at that stage) and basically covers all of my interests.
I created a logo.
Please let me know what you think of it.
Thanks.

I'm really enjoying the depth you've created with the background gradient below the paint splatter effect, it's simple but you have definately captured perspective.
The typography however doesn't seem to be taking center stage. It's a great concept, my only advice would be to ensure that the title and tagline is maybe a little bit more defined above your backdrop.

I think this is great because since its for teenagers I feel that you're connecting with them with the right style (i.e. paint splatters + the graffiti style font). I also agree with VonGizzle tho, I think the typography should be more defined especially with the background you're using - "a teenage blogger's view" is a bit hard to read.

To start with, I'd say this is more of a header than a logo.
Either way, the background is a bit distractive. Perhaps you could play with transparency there. Also, the word "BLOG" could use some tweaking. Its kerning is quite loose relative to the word "everything", so it almost makes me want to pronounce it as "BUH, LUH, O, GH, everything". Sounds silly, but there's some truth to it.
There's actually another, perhaps more important, reason to tweak "BLOG" a bit: All of the other elements in this header are very teen-friendly. The word "everything" uses a cool and exciting font, the background splotches are dynamic and also cool, and the gradient makes the background even more lively. And then right in the middle of it all is a totally plain and completely static "BLOG" with (no other way to say it ) boring kerning. Imagine, if you will, The Mona Lisa; except that right next to her in the painting is Bob from accounting. It doesn't make sense, because that painting has a certain style, which would be ruined if we inserted Bob into it. In the same way, your entire header has a certain "coolness" about it. The word "BLOG" should continue that message instead of contradicting it.

Hi.
Thanks guys for the replies and advice. Will SURELY use it! Yeah I also thought about BLOG and the (lets call it a slogan..)'s dullness, but in my updated version it's better. Oh yeah, and _Redrum, thank you in particular for your advice, I appreciate it greatly. And I also wanted to hear, did my application ever came through the second time? Because it's been a while now...
Thanks.

I like the 2 different fonts. I think I would do some exploring with the (everything) font try some different scripts or other type faces that have a more graphic punch to it, and the word (Blog) might look better if it was bolder and tighten up the kerning abit, maybe knock back the opacity so that you could see a faint image of the spattered background coming through. I think its a very nice logo, good work
