I looked for some graphic design assignments online and found this one...
Your assignment is to type your first and last name in a variety of ways, arriving finally at three designs that visually convey your personality:
* Using Adobe Illustrator, on one page create a layout in which your name (first and last, with middle name optional) is displayed 30 times, each time using a different typeface (font), sizing each at 16-24 points. Label each example with the name of the typeface, and the size.
* Using Adobe Illustrator, along one edge of another page record three to five adjectives that describe your personality. Using the rest of the same page, make three designs for your name using typefaces that express your personality or spirit especially well.
* Give carefull consideration to the positive and negative shapes within and between the letters. Make the proportions, textures, values, and directions of the letters important to each design. You are free to alter the look of your name by varying typefaces, weights, color, pattern, background color or texture, direction of the letters, and different sizes -- within any line of text.
and tried it for practice (its nothing fancy but do you think i got the concept...? And i dont have ilustrator yet so its harder to do the 3d stuff so i didnt even try!

Personally I think it's a bit busy. I've looked at it each day for the past 3-5 days just to see what I may see next(before comminting).
My focus tends to lean towards the edges and "joy" and less on your full name.
It is interesting and personally it's visually stimulating in an odd way, hard to explain exactly. I couldn't say at the moment if it's a good or bad way though. I'm kinda stuck when looking at it, I guess.
let us know what the teacher/instructor thought of it.
Not trying to be negative, just honest..

As far as trying to figure your personality from this visual, I couldn't really nail it to just one.arriving finally at three designs that visually convey your personality
