how much is it worth to you?

I'm going to start a contest to totally redesign my co.'s website. I have a guy that can tie all of the elements together if I just go with a photoshop template in slices. So what's a fair contest prize for this?
Next question...what if the contest required you to finish the site, complete with links, pages, images of product (which we supply)...now how much should that contest go for?
Ok...there it is....I hope I'm playing by the rules.

Usually with website templates, the higher the prize, the more time designers will invest. I'd say $100 would get you a very basic site, but if your contest was $500, the caliber of the designs would far surpass those found at the $100 level. In the contest, you can specify whether it needs to be sliced and/or coded.
After you have chosen your winning template, you can ask the designer to create an entire site for extra money, and if not, search around for other designers who would be willing to do that. It's not a good idea to have a contest to create a website out of a template because that is a fairly automatic task, especially if you have chosen a skilled designer.
Hope this helps.
