My son will be in your neck of the woods this weekend for the olympics.

Welcome to Design Contest..

Here are some links to help you get started.
http://www.designcon...-designers.html

And please read ALL the stickies at the top of the forum.

I'd also like to add that with the increase in new members because of our new open to all contests I'll be deleting useless posts... Like "nice" or "cool".. in hopes of everyone understanding what it really takes to be an elite team member.

Hey, welcome to DC!
I imagine Vancouver must be pretty busy now. Have the Olimpics changed the normal life of the city a lot?

Speaking about your portfolio, why don't you post a link here so that we could all see it?

There are the required street closures. Though born in Vancouver, I actually live in Burnaby now. Burnaby is the municipality right next to Vancouver moving eastward. I am going to school part-time and one thing that has changed is that now I have a two week break because of the Olympics.
You can view my portfolio at designbuddha! Thanks, mateys!

Welcome designbuddha, i'm a designer from Montreal, on the other side of the country ;)

I always wanted to go to Vancouver and work there for a year or two, is the business good now? I heard salaries are better but the cost of living is way higher than here.

Hello, ryanONE! I am new too. Hey, Gabber! I reckon business is still somewhat hurting. And yes, the standard of living is WAY high. Many designers were layed off last year, creating quite a surplus of good talent.

Love the paintings!. Very, very unique! I paint too and we share a fascination with rendering things that are not your typical bowls of fruit.

Too funny! Here we are HOSTING The Summer .... err ... WINTER Olympics! Maybe they should join forces with BIC Pens and start the Oylm-BICS!! Sorry! That dates me!!

Here's to the Georgian athlete. Nador, his name is. Glory be to God.

His name will ALWAYS be remembered. He is a warrior, unafraid of anything.

We had MEGA snow last year. My back is still hurtin' from shovelling. We had two VOLUMINOUS dumps last December but this year year ,,,,,, NADA. El nino? El nina? Our Olympics are getting a bad rap but weather on the West Coast will always be spotty. Or is that spotty with a chance of showers? :)
