Lemme start by saying I'm new to the forums, so be nice

I don't consider myself a designer by any strectch of the imagination, but I thought I'd get some input on the header I started last night for my site before I continued. Everyone I showed said they liked it but the first thing my girlfriend says is ..."it's...orange".

Not quite the reaction I was hoping for..so I'll see what you guys think.

I think it's very nice. Maybe it's too red, I dont know?
I would make that navbar black or dark grey.
The navbar is the thing I like most, very stylish, clean.

Lucky for you, I'm not allowed to use the computer in my girlfriend's presens.

She's laying in the bed behind me right now, I said I was going to sudy. Hoho.

As she said is 'Orange' but thats not a bad thing. I think it looks good. I am not much of a designer myself so maybe some of the others can give you a good review...

Thanks for the comments. The darker part of the nav (where home is) is what the roll over will look like.

I'm also thinking of other ideas for the content. So far I'm satisfied with it (with the exception of the comment from my gf) and I don't wanna ruin it by screwing up the content if you know what I mean ;-/

This isn't quite the final product, but it's much like the final product will look. I think I figured out how I wanted to do content.
