About the question: CH can rate entries, what if designers can do that also?

As a member of many many communities that also happen to have contest type threads or platforms. Every single one of the one that allow designers to vote as well end up getting abused & manipulated. Designers start voting for them self & asking their closest buddies at the community to vote for them. They also vote negatively for others to try & get a better shot at a win for them self & the prize money.

Not all designers do that & I would like to think a majority of people wouldn't resort to those tactics, however, they do happen in every place I see that has the feature. At the end of the day, it's just more accurate & productive to ONLY allow the person buying the design to rate it, if they want opinions, they ask associates, friends, family, & co-workers to view the contest thread. They then compile what they have been told by the people closest to them in life & adjust their rating / vote accordingly. I like it's better this way too. No need to change what isn't broken :)

There are some minor updates and one that is very important - we have launched designers rating. Now you can see who has won most contests on DC recently.

I would like to know how this rating system working?
I didn't find any connection between points and ranking. For example, designer with 0 points have better place then designer with 607 points.
How somebody can earn those points if that matter?
Thank you.

Fonts look fine on my end. Probably a resolution issue on the individuals monitor settings.

The fonts on my PC are still skewed.. Im running latest FF.. I would suggest just using Tahoma as it will fit well with the site. But I am on the old skin until then. =/

I don't have too much experience, i guess (well i don't just guess, i totally agree) you're right, it's a bad ideea. Still, it can be done outside the contests, on the designs submitted . And another problem :(, i read on a post that you can change skins :((((, and i tried ... all of them, but after i switched to "bulletin 3 style", i got stuck with that skin on the forum, can't change it anymore (it says "error on page" on the status bar). I like the new look. It's clearer, cleaner, and, well, easier to navigate, one can easily find all the things he is looking for without going thru many menus and pages.

I personally liked the old style better but i'm sure i'll get use to this one soon.

Just one problem i'm having to refresh pages a lot.
I'll click on a page and it will be blank. All the links and type are there (as i run my cursor over the page) but I can't see it.
Just refresh the page and all fine.

I'm running safari on a new iMac.
