hmm... I am just not liking it. the basic idea is okay, maybe you need a burning brush or something... maybe that's too much, but it feels like it's missing something.

I agree with [pliny.Design]. U should remove flame on i, just plain dot or nothing. font is kewl by himself so don't need any other symbols.
thmbs up for the latest version (vertical aligment).

the difference in fonts i think may be throwing me off, the b and f in brushfire look a bit off to me.

version 3 but lose the line in the main logo that cuts the shape into two pieces. since you've done that it translates as a drop of liquid this may cause some confusion if the logo were to be left on its own without any logotype. if your logo is a strong one it should translate without any words to lead you. IMO
