I was just wondering what in fact you wanted us to be looking at or critiquing, seeing that this is the WIP thread? Be it your portfolio layout design or artwork? This might help others when responding to your initial post and generating views and/or responses.

On a side note, I do like your Zookeeper design. Looks pretty neat.

I like your portfolio (although I'm biased against the Pharaoh Font used in the Drum Circle).
The actual website design seems less than you, though.

I think your website would be a lot more visually flattering if you change the font (:

akhockey, I was initially looking for responses on the website layout and how it presented my portfolio.

I'm glad you mentioned that, balanced. I'm currently redesigning it and almost finished. Unfortunately, I lost a lot of data earlier this summer, so I have to do a little extra digging to get my portfolio at an optimum.

Look forward to the new layout, and a couple more graphics in the folio itself.

I like the triangle designs. I can see it hanging in a living room.

I like the hockey designs. It has a little grunge with brightness.

I would also change the font. I don't think it suits your design style.
I also don't like how the page name is behind what you are trying to view. It takes the eye away from your designs. I would just go with a white background there.

I do like how you have taken the triangle from your logo and used it as the dot points.

Not a bad start.

At least give some feedback as to why you 'dislike'.

I agree with many of the comments said. Your portfolio work is very organic while your personal brand is uber geometric and angular. I think you need to be true to your design aesthetic. If you're not thinking all the way through about yourself, then how do clients know to trust you?

What I do like about your site is the fact that it loads quickly and navigating the site is very user friendly. Also, its nice to simply scroll through your portfolio instead of waiting for a flash window to expand and see the image.

Well done taking on your own site and good luck.

First, i'd suggest you don't use frames. its a technology thats going out of style. Second, try highlighting somehow the button with the section you're in, instead of using the headers inside the frame (because it looks stretched).
About the identity,I just felt the same as the guy above: it doesn't match your actual works. Go for something more organic.
