Francesco, you should read twice before posting :p
I was replying to Stev27 and its about contests and not forum participation.

Anyway, you are using a photo. Only vector is allowed, 100% made by you. So, if thats a picture of an apple, its against the rules to use that, capiche? :)

no she meant no photos in the contests. All she was saying was is that if this design was entered into that contest it would have been marked a problem and an infraction given because we do not allow photos in logos contests.

So the apple is not a photo? it sure looks like a photo how did you create the apple? Is the apple vector?

The infraction is not that you posted on a finished contest ( which is fine) its that there is a photo incorporated into your design. All work must be done in vector format (illustrator, coreldraw) the apple is the problem

hey an infraction for posting here a work for an already ended contest ? are you serious ???
and this is not a photo... just a shadow that inspire to NY skyline !!!

just to be clear..you do not get an infraction for post example logo in the forum if the contest has ended. If you post a photo in your logo entered in a contest, that is against the rules

You cannot participate in contests if you are using photoshop. Logos must be created in vector format.
This means that your logo designs should generally be created in either Illustrator, CorelDraw, Fireworks or Flash.

For more information read DesignContest.net Entering Professional Contests

good luck

Are you wanting them eliminated? Did you follow the rules? Are they created as vectors?

ok this is from this site knowledge database;
To create vector based logos, designers should be using either Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw or Macromedia Freehand or Macromedia Flash. Photoshop is a viable option, but it is important that no part of the logo is ever rasterized by the program (this can often occur when filters are applied). The first three programs are recommended.

so photoshop is not forbidden... just is not recommended ok ?
