Hi Guys
I am new to illustrator. I have seen the contest of square logo for design contest. I like the post of cclark413 submission no. 97. One thing I am asking all of you how can I give any vector such 3d glossy effect like cclark413 has given in that logo. It looks great. I want to give such effect but I don't know how can it be possible for me.
Suggest please.

Good link like an angel.
The key thing is learning to use the "Offset Path" command and some other neat little tools Illustrator has.
Let's say you have a shape that is a little more complicated than a circle:
Here is a very quick way to achieve gloss that I use. There are more advanced steps, but this should get you started.
