i agree it should be blind all the contest coz some of the designers just copy ur concepts then just twisted it a little and looks great. but they did not think by their own minds. my experience was i almost dream it on what concept should i create and just some designers easily recreate my own design and then they won the contest. they will have karma anywayz

You get the email and then on the page it shows you all the entries

I don't mind blind contests as long as there is good feedback from the CH. Otherwise you can feel a little bit invisible and you're not even sure if your work has been considered. That often leads to the designer fishing around aimlessly for the right direction!

Inspiration or Plagiarism? Drawing the Line – Inspiration or Plagiarism?
Some design projects are very limited in their solutions - the same logo elements turn up for different topics - eg for audio or for internet etc
but yes I do think its important to try to add another personal angle and take the idea in a different direction - its tough being 'original' thats why so few ideas are totally original - usually influenced or inspired by something else - the trick is to develop it and make it your own. Not easy.

I like blind contest,
but sometimes, when the CH don't give feedback is important to know what kind of preference he has.
I think that the CH can understand if someone copy others, when this not happen there is DC.
Sometimes I see designs to make something very very different to others.
And sometimes a blind contest can be for CH a repetition of ideas. Because in certain cases is simple to use a stereotypical symbols, or representation of the name of the brand, in a creative way certainly, but always (in the concept) equals to others.

The most important thing is to be creative. I know that sometimes our creativity in hand of another designers can be better, but sometimes no. If you are sure of your idea, work on it, and again work on it, I'm sure you can make better than the copyist.
I've never reported a designer, but in more occasion someone copied me and made better than me.

I know that blind contest guarantees original work, but sometimes the true is in the middle :p
