I have only seen a few reviews of CS6 beta so far and some features look great, but I haven't tested the product in action yet. Would like to hear from those of you guys who have already done some design in it.

I have only tried Photoshop CS6 Beta so far, and all i can say is - awesome. I can't say the update is huge, but there are a lot of tiny tweaks that make my work so much easier.
First of all, vector shapes snap to pixels and grid, and not just rectangles, like in previous versions, but all shapes. Even if the anchors are not positioned correctly, once you try to transform vector shape, it will automatically snap to pixel grid. This is very useful if you're making small icons, or any type or design that requires a lot of precision. Also, now you can move vectors easily on zoomed canvas, every arrow click on keyboard means one pixel, so no more anti-aliasing issues. Also, vectors now have the ability to add gradient, texture, or stroke outside of layer styles, on the vector object itself, like in Illustrator or any other application that handles vectors.
Second, now you can enable OpenGL and still have perfect 1px guides and grid. This was very annoying for me in previous versions, i'm glad it's fixed now.
Third, there's a new properties window, which is a life saver for masks, adjustments and 3D layers.
Fourth, you can now filter layers, also very useful if you have a lot of different types of layers. You can choose just vector layers, just text layers, just layers with certain style (e.g. only layers with drop shadow). Layer window is also improved with color thumbnails of vector masks, so you can easily find what you need.
And last, but not least, whatever you drag, create, transform, there will be a popup next to the arrow showing you the exact dimensions and position of the object you're using. Seriously Adobe, this should have been part of all of your apps long ago, it's extremely useful.
TL;DR It's awesome, get it, you'll love it.

I agree with BanzaiTokyo about improvements, and I would like to add one more thing to that list and that is ability to choose interface color. I love working in black, it is much easier for eyes and to focus on pixels you're pushing
But there is thing that is annoying. I'm using 'Move Tool (V)' with checked 'Auto-select' for layer. And sometimes when I try to select some specific layer, it actually selects some other that is near that. It isn't precise in some situations.

CS6 is faster even on the same rigs. There is an x64 version of illustrator too. Both photoshop and illustrator have better memory utilization. You will definitely feel the snappiness when using CS6. And yes, there are a few nifty features too. Illustrator's pattern maker, photoshop's non-destructive crop to name a few of the best.
