Awesome how the circles are repeated to make up the logo. Reminds me of apple logo. Same kind of concept.Attached File  apple_logo_golden_ratio.jpg   26.68KB   153 downloads

Concept behind the circles that define the new logo is interesting yet clever:

"According to Twitter, a latest trademark was written from a 3 sets of overlapping circles. This is to spell out how a network, interests as well as ideas continuous to any alternative Twitter users." source

Also this:
“Is a bird was drifting tall on top of a earth or get together with alternative birds in sequence to grasp a same goal, birds in moody is a illustration of freedom, goal as well as vast possibilities,” according to a Twitter. (same source)

So, perhaps previous logo has nothing remarkably wrong, so maybe it was just a little bit meaningless in comparison to this one ... with that in mind, I think that ammending it was an accurate decision.

On the other hand, I particularly noticed that this logo is more convinient for a small size even tiny sizes, in comparison to previous. This remains looking like a little bird in ALL sizes.

All in all, I like this new logo, looks a little bit more mature and meaningful.
(one thing I can`t figure out yet is WHY twitter team supressed the word "twitter" in ALL the identity elements, they even encourage designers NOT to use the name any more, ONLY the bird is enough to them ... hu? well ..)
