Well,
I have used javascript for many years now, and I became a big fan and JS coder ..
So far (IMO) a good thing of javascript have been its slowly version changing cycle .. I mean ... those languages that changes TOO fast are very difficult to track on and expertise, but .. languages that don't change so fast (Java ... C++, sounds familiar?), allow developers to hugely improve their expertise.
Now,
Those OOP geeks have begun to show some respect to Javascript and JS coders ... even Google IO 2011 did several conferences about Javascript coding, JS OOP potencial, ClosureTools and some other Javascript related matters.
I remember those VisualBasic golden years ... when we VBcoders were seen as MASTERS! ... and a couple years later VB became the programmers b!#@! ... -ehem, sorry gain.
All these thinks I just said lead us to an abvious conclusion ... Javascript might become the new Java (due to its new gained respect) (for the web development community)? ... or might just become the new b!#@ on the block? (that is the question)
Hopefully will become the new "Java" instead ...
All in all, one thing is almost for sure: Those (I, included) coders and mobile/tablets/web development pros (geeks included) have realized all the potential JS has and the same way as zombies predate fresh meat, JS will begin to be predated, and versioning might begin to change more and more faster .. outdistancing from the most of us (not so fast or geeky coders ... )
Hopefully JS won't have such unfortunate forthcoming days.
.. what do you think?
As always, feedback is greatly appreciated.
Best regards and succes.
