Difference between append() and innerHTML in JavaScript

InnerHTML is a string and it’s not standard. Even though innerHTML is faster it is better to use the DOM methods such as appendChild() or firstChild or nodeValue, to change innerHTML content. Append() method is slower but more reliable.
