Screen Display On 2 Screens

When I am not designing for contest on DC i'm design kitchen and bathrooms on a huge 42" tv for my parents hardware store. And wanna buy another screen and design on one screen and have my progress showing on my other screen at the same time. Is there a way to do that with a cord or something like that. Or will I have to design on one screen and then just move it over to the other screen.

I think that this is more of a "software" configuration or feature than a hardware setup.
Not sure about it of course but may be.
