How define color without Pantone books / Digital Vector Design Practices

For years I did use Pantone books for color finding. Now I don't have any color book available...

Hi sunface,
I'm using Pantone books since 1988 so to "read" them is not the problem. I did lose my "bridge" chart in an eventful trip in Brasil (with "s") and I can't buy a new one by the moment.
