You are right - I guess that is indeed more 70's... And I loved it, hope you didn't get the wrong impression as I think you captured something great there.

Plus that typeface is great.
Nardex: Great colors and I like the "lines" of it. So maybe I don't just like the dark cards - those bright colors work well!

here's my entry for the card contest.
Am just busy setting up my portfolio and all.
URL isn't registered as we speak (don't hijack it
).
Simple clean design with all necessary info, well...... in my vision
note: front/back dont have same size.
Made this in flash just now since its the only prog I have on my computer.
so, exporting didn't go the way I wanted to be.
Just have a new one and still need to install all the progs.

PlexiHosting > I feel yah! I'm glad u like the dark color style... I wanted to give it a professional (big design studio/firm) look, and base from experience, using dark color is the way to go... I use the same syle in most of my bizcard designs... the simple and clean look... altho its a bit hard to pull it off... coz as u can see I dind't have much content to put on it... thus the use of typography...
