Designers to rate other designs is good
But contest holder is only on to judge and determine the winner

I dig the idea. In the past I have always given kuddos to some designers in the comment thread as I think they do not get recognized enough...especially when dealing with those CH';s that start a contest, don't comment or rate, and disappear! We spend hours at a time coming up with our concepts and designs...sucks to not get a comment from the CH. So why not get one from each other. It can even begin with starting a thread here in the forums called "D to D Ratings" and the new threads under this title could simply be the title of the contest....and all can feel free to comment on likes and dislikes.

Great idea....

I think this would be a great idea. You not only would have feedback form the consumer, but also from peers.

I personally like the idea, may or may not influence the client's decision, but sincerely the opinion of the designers has more value than many times the customer feedback. I think that is something unique in this kind of sites. go ahead.

I think the idea is excellent! I would easily agree that many good designs don't get the credit they deserve. Also, I sometimes feel the urge to help or guide some designers on their way, as some designs indicate a certain lack of technical skill, or other. I say: GO FOR IT! :)

I also Like the idea. as resurepus said we can give the voting option to upper level designers.

I like this idea but I think the CH should not see this rating. There is one site in my country and there every entry has designers rating and CH rating and everybody sees them. This made some designers give low rate to other entries because they are competing in one contest or give good rate to their friends. I thik every designer should have the option to rate others but this should not be seen from CH. If CH can't choose he can see the designers rating and trust the best one.

I love the idea of the 'community like button' simple, motivational, no harm.
