what is a similar contest?

I'm new DC, an entry in a contest, had a rating of 90 which my astonishment when I receive an infraction because i use the same concept of an eye , the design which is supposely similar, not even seem like an eye, and worse than that all designers use a concept that was not requested by CH.
Can someone explain me what is a similar concept, since I am new here?

Zeca, I don't know, generally there are distinctive rules and points what makes design/concept copy, but here it really depends on a contest and CH. There are some contests where every design is close to another, by client's direction... for example the one you entered "M.B. Law Firm"... to me, all of them look similar (framed initials, same font, same color - this is same concept), yet they have differences. I entered here with different concept other than a framed initials and I was eliminated, so... Further on, as you may notice here, non of other concepts is rated, even brief says "wide open for ideas & creativity".

Maybe you should talk to admins to get more explanation.

Babba I understand and have talked to administrators, now I do not understand is how a design that supposedly uses the concept of an eye receives an infringement, and other designs that also use the concept of the eye remain, this is what I do not understand (maybe because it is new and being in the first position and the CH like) and my eye has nothing to do with the eye who they say have copied the concept.
I do not know if I can say what the competition once is still open, but I'll tell you later, to give me an opinion.

Zeca, I assume others on that particular contest are not bothered with other's similar concept, or do not see it as similar.
I guess you already know, but in the case you don't - designers do report, not admins... admins only decide whether there is reason for infraction and removal (usually they are right), they do not go over all entries, only by designer's report.
Also, if you notice such irregular things or have doubts you are entitled to report or go to live chat.

By the way, I do avoid such contest where almost all entries are like clones.

The issue was using "eye" That is unique to the original designer using that idea/concept..... I know that contest name has gator so you expect to see gators, not eyes, so the designer that created the eye concept/idea holds copyright to that idea/concept in this contest

It doesn't matter whether you are new or old member, if you had took over somebody's design concept, that's not okay. I am not familiar how that went exactly on Gator contest, so I wrote "if".

Look, if one come up with something different and being high or first rated for that, you can expect others to follow. That's not competition, you know what that is.

Zeca, you will see it when that happens to you, and it will for sure, unfortunately. If you see that, do not hesitate to report it.

BTW, Gator contest had lot of used clip art... one even went so far and took "Florida Gators" logo.
