1.High similarities of icons that are in one set
We sometimes see icons that look so much alike within the same set of icons, making It difficult to understand which is which.
2.Using many and unneccesary elements in one icon
It is always preferred to keep the number of objects in one icon to a minimum. The simpler the icon is the better. It is always better of the entire image is relevant.
3.Lack of style unity within a set of icons
There should be a uniting property in a set of icons, wither in the color, shape, design, size, perspective etc.. The uniting property can be any of the following: color scheme, perspective, size, drawing
4.Unnecessary shadow and perspective in small icons
When it comes to small icons, keeping them simple is the best way to go.
5. Using Images of real interface elements
Using real interfaces elements could be confused with actual interfaces.
6 Using Text inside icons
This is very common. The icon is usually small, making it impossible to read the text.
