Okay fair enough then but you dont actually need to create an whole engine something simple that only takes a week shouldnt be out of the question though. I reckon a little site with download, news, articles, members + admin can be done in a week easily especially if you have any systems done before.
But goodluck on your tutorial site.

I've been surfing this board in stealth mode for a while and although there were many interesting things, I elected not to become a registered member until now. The reason being that I just had to comment on this topic.
I have known phpdeveloper for almost three years and we have worked on many projects together. Anyone, who simplistically assumes that he is does not know PHP -because he has used PHP nuke on a free site - is making a collosal mistake.
This guy is not only knowledgeable about programming, but also an all round good human being who wants to share information with others. He is EXTREMELY busy and in high demand and I'm amazed that he even has time to attempt to help people out in this way. He may be much too humble to say it, but he HAS coded a complete proprietary portal system for a company which now resells it for tons of money. He is also one of the most incredible server administrators there is, bar none.
If PHP nuke was the fastest way he had to post his tutorials online, then so be it. For those who want to learn, it is your loss for not taking the oppurtunity to pick his brain. I know, you get what you pay for often times, but this is not the case here. I have nothing to gain by this post. To the contrary, I wish he were less busy so I could work with him more. The truth is he LOVES programming, learning and sharing his knowledge with others. I am not a programmer, have never taken a class but since working with phpdeveloper I've learned to play with code and hack things to where they are somewhat presentable -- when all else fails I contact phpdeveloper!
I'm sorry to go on and on but when I feel passionate about something I can not stand by in silence.
He'll be shocked to read my post because I don't do this often. Have fun everyone!
