Hello,
I am also an architect and here are 3 versions of my architecture website. I would like to see which version you like most and if you have any suggestions to make it better.
Thank you!

I would go with version 3... though the use of borders and shadows (the embossed look) does not work too well for this design.

I would agree with Mofya to avoid embossed look, version 3 is very interesting and different. However, it depends what you want to represent on your web, and how it will work in general.

I am glad that you like version 3 most. Actually there is about an year period between them. Version 1 was the first site, then after about six months version 2 and now it is version 3. It means I am makeing it better not worse :)
I am not so sure about removing the emboss. You can see the site working at архитект Савина Гугова and I will be glad to see if you still think it will be better without it.

I like the shapes, but I would merge the middle with the top one and get rid of the bottom one to the left. If you're showing your work in photos, you want those to be the largest things on the page. All the shapes are competing for my eyes. You have beautiful architectural work! Let that be the cool stuff to look at. Generally, portfolio websites work best when they are very minimal in design. Love your creativity!

Thank you very much for the detailed analyses Todd. I will consider your words when I begin to change it again.:) I am very glad that you like my work.

Hello Savina ^^, out of the three I also think version #3 is the best, however I think that for a professional portfolio it needs a lot of improvements, usually it is best to try to use a lot of white space and focus the attention on the work itself, use big quality images, the emboss effect looks kind of old-fashioned and the fonts don't catch my attention at all, the logo could improve; that is usually the first thing I see when I'm looking at a portfolio. HERE is a great article on portfolio design. Hope this helps you :)
