I found that it's important to using font in logo design. But it’s easy to get stuck in a world of Arial, Georgia and Times New Roman. Some designers say "Typekit" provides a drop dead simple way to break out of the mold and have easy access to thousands of high quality fonts. Any ideas?

I'm no expert, but I thought Typekit was strictly for online documents, i.e. nice typography in webpages. Won't help with designing logos. My favorite font sources are fontspace.com or fontsquirrel.com. However, you'll need to check each font's license to make sure that the font you choose is allowed in commercial work.
