When DesignContest.net first started the Design Team, it was decided that we would allow contest holders to choose what level of designer they wanted to design their project. This is why there are currently four different levels of designers. This plan, however, did not work the way we originally planned.
With that in mind, the Design Contest administration would like to announce that from this point on all team level definitions (Apprentice,Bronze,Gold,Platinum) will be removed. Design Team members will now belong to one single group - "Design Team Member". This change will take place over the next couple days.
Design team members: please do not worry. You are all still a member of the team, and are just being merged into one group. Recent applicants do not need to worry either, as portfolios will still be judged on the same merits as before.
In place of the levels, we will be offering different badges to designers who we feel are doing an excellent job. These badges can be displayed on websites, and possibly on the forums in the future. You can expect to see the badges in coming weeks.
Thanks, and if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask!

Why don't you append the little badges next to the "design team member" line...? maybe 1 star, 2, stars, and 3 stars, or something like that.... just an idea.
We are definitely looking into this

Someday I'll be a design team member...
I dont understand why you are not a design team member now. you have a decent portfolio and looks like you meet the requirements lol
well to any admins, i would give my recomendation that "exo" be in the design time (if my opinion counts in any way)
I personally am young, (ripe age of 19) and getting ready for college, so i have plenty of time, just gonna keep pluging away at the non-design team contests for fun
but jeezus make exo a design team member, lol
ps: im assuming that "treevor designs" in his sig is his portfolio...

Hi liam
Exo may apply to join the design team like many others have. We do not just randomly select users and change their status. If he wants to be on the design team, he can always go to the application page located here:
http://www.designcon.../html/join.html
That is how everyone gets into the team, unless they have won enough community contests, we don't make exceptions, as we are trying to keep this as fair as possible.
