I'm a physical therapist, ergonomist and instructor/professor by profession but could consider myself very much involved in graphic design during my spare time. Haha, if you're really wondering what A stands for, it's Ang... An ergonomist basically makes sure that anyone's work is fit for him, adjusting factors to improve safety, productivity and comfort during work. I've done some research related to computer input devices, school desk design, wheelchair design, virtual learning environments and graphical symbol design. Ergonomics is known as Human Factors in the US :) It's pretty interesting...
