To convert a picture to clip art, you can do the following:
1.Using Photoshop open the picture that you want to convert to clip art. Go to File and Open, and select the file you want to use.
2. Go to the File and select New to make a new file. Enter the size that you want and select Transparent.
3. To make the file active, click on the picture and use the selection tool to select only the subject of the picture. You can using the Magic Wand Tool first. Click the tool then click on the subject of the picture.
4. If the wand fails to properly select the subject, use the Magnetic Lasso Tool. Click on the lasso, then move your cursor around the subject, as close to the subject’s outline as possible, while holding the mouse button. The lines will snap to the subject’s outline .
5.Copy your selection and paste it in the new canvas that you created.
6. on the new canvas, select the Magnifying Glass and click to increase the image’s size. Click on the Eraser Tool and scroll around the subject of the image, and use the eraser to remove anything in the background that was left around the subject, and anything else in the picture that you don't want in the clip art.
7.Save your picture as a GIF file .
