Hi,

this looked like a forum to post my questions.

Paypal is not suporting my country (Serbia), so I can't get paypal account. I wish to "make" a non-profit contest, my reward for the winner would be hosting for 1-2 years, but I can't pay 10% to dc.net since I don't have an paypal account and I can't get one :( Is it possbile, to make this contest for non-profit website logo, by "paying" 10% to dc.net by puting dc.net logo & link on every page of our website for 2 years? If this is not possbile, please help me with some guideance how to overcome this problem.

Thank you very much

Hi,

I would love to answer that question for you, but I don't know how. I think lots of others are in the same boat. The truth is, there is a limited amount of people on this website who can speak directly for DC.

In the meantime, please don't feel ignored, as I'm sure the delay is not intentional, things are slightly hectic at the moment but once an Admin frees up I'm sure your question will be answered. Thank you, in advance, for your patience :)

Regards

Hi Redrum,

thank you for the answer! It's good to know that the admin is currently busy, so that's the reason for no answer. I'll just have to wait until he answers me...

thx again Redrum

Piroman,

Can you give more details to the specifics of your contest? We have rules as to what constitutes a non-profit design, and before we make a definite decision I would like to know the details.

Thanks,
John

Hi Neupix,

thank you for the answer. We're a group of aquarium fish enthusiastics that are in love with certain type of aquarium fish called - cichlids. These fish are very specific and different from other aquarium fishes, but I'll write about those facts if you're wiling to take my contest. I'm a sponsor for this website, as I pay for the hostign server. We have few ads on our site, for which we get ads in return. We have one pro advertiser, who gives us in return a consulting aswers to all our members about cichlids. We do some marketing actions, financed from our members money, based on a good will. We don't get a cent from site, but our profit is knowlege about cichlids and a trading of cichlids among memebers. In these trades, we, the owners, moderators, consultants and everybody else form website, don't get any profit!!! So, we're the non-profit website, doing it all because our hobby and our love for cichlids. I don't know does this explain what you've asked me Neupix, but I'm available for all the questions you may have.

btw we need a new logo, we've stoped using old logo as the end of the 2005. That's why we're in a kind of hurry...

piroman,

I will allow the contest to be held, but I can't guarantee the number of entries you will receive. Since there is no way for me to guarantee the prize, some designers may not be willing to participate. Advertising for DesignContest.net will not be required :)

If you want to fill out the contest form, you may do so and stop at the Paypal portion of it.

Thanks,
John

Hi Neupix,

thank you for the allowing of the contest! First, I've dicussed with other guys from my webiste, dc.net banner will be on our site, unless you don't want it on our site. I can pay for hosting, and register it under your name, so you can guarantee for the prize. Simply you would be the owner of that hosting plan, so you can select who get's it and uses it. I will fill-out the contest form, once we're sure how to handle "payment". I'm awaiting for your answer, if your ok with this, I could make a payment at Monday, 09-01-2006, so the contest could begin.

Thank you once again for your efforts to help us, to get the logo!

A banner will be fine.

There is no need to register the hosting in our name, it should be registered in the winners name.

If you want to submit the contest, I can post it for you.

Thanks,
John
