That's a great company name. The logo is easily attributed to that name.

Great job!

i like the concept, but i think the washington graphic is to big. the name of the company is dwarfed by the image. i would make it a lot smaller. i think the name of the company should be the main focus, not washintons melon.

I disagree; many famous logos are known for their graphical elements and not for the names underneath (pepsi, macdonalds, nike...etc). Our "Guess the Logo" game alone should convince you of that :)

well, no offense, but those logos are popular only because the companys that own them pay millions and millions of dollars to have them plastered everywhere. just because a logo is well recognized, doesnt mean that it is good design.

I like the colors and gradients. Logo by itself is complicated but memorable. Great effort!

Heh, don't worry I think only Ronald McDonald was offended by that ;)

About the the logos tho, I think my point is only made stronger by what you've written. Think about it, even though we have indeed been bombarded with all of those ads, we still mostly associate those companies with their graphical elements (despite the fact that we've seen the names just as many times).

nice work indeed :) , very smooth and well drawn design here. the only thing I can say I would do differently is perhaps brighten "mortgage company" it seems a bit hard to make it out especially in smaller sizes. But, I mean it's not the central focus since attributing "THE FUNDING FATHERS" is the primary objective here.

Cool logo, few suggestions:

-The vector face looks a bit off.
-Stay away from gradients on logos that will be used outside of the web (letterhead, envelopes, biz cards, b/w fax, etc, etc)
-Going with the last suggest, try to design it first where it will work in black in with (not just grayscale), but Black and White colors solid
-Work on the typography a bit more, it’s not bad at all right now, but I Think it would be a bit better. Mortgage Company should maybe stand out a little bit more, maybe not... it looks nice right now.
-TOO many shapes, I know its looks cool, but the best logos are simple. Simplify some of those curves in the structure of the logo (not the face).

Overall, pretty nice. With a bit more work it could be great.
