To remove the text Powered by WordPress from the footer of WordPress , open your footer.php file and look for the following block of code

<div id="site-generator">
<?php do_action( 'twentytwelve_credits' ); ?>
<a href="<?php echo esc_url( __( 'http://wordpress.org/' 'twentytwelve' ) ); ?>" title="<?php esc_attr_e( 'Semantic Personal Publishing Platform', 'twentyeleven' ); ?>" rel="generator"><?php printf( __( 'Proudly powered by %s', 'twentytwelve' ), 'WordPress' ); ?></a>
</div>

Then delete this block of code and save your file.
