Please read the rules and guidelines for DC.
All logo designs are to be "vector" and should be created in a vector drawing program.
Logos are reproduced in many mediums and by many methods and in many sizes.
This requires vector (not bitmap) art.
Clipping paths in photoshop art not enough. The art is still bitmap.
Maybe you can get away with a bitmap logo if it only for your friends blog, but if if it is ever to be silkscreened, embroidered, cut out of a vinyl, enlarged for a billboard, or used in very high quality printing, IT WILL FAIL!
A bitmap logo is not an option in professional design.
All crowd source design sites require vector logos.
I believe that it is the policy of many crowd source sites to NOT PAY winning logo designers if they cannot supply vector versions.
If nothing else, that should help clarify the issue in the minds of many.
