COLORS MEANINGS
Color is a very important element in your Design and each Color reflect a different Meaning or feeling

RED
• Evokes aggressiveness, passion, strength and vitality
• Excitement, action, adventure, love, passion, food.
• If people are able to see energy, they'd probably see red (pun intended).
PINK
Evokes femininity, innocence, softness and health.
ORANGE
• Evokes fun, cheeriness and warm exuberance.
• Affordability, fun, youth, creativity, celebration.
• This color brings youthful vitality to mind. Some people associate it with cheap and mundane things. Logo designers can use orange if the brand is targeted towards young people.
YELLOW
• Evokes positivity, sunshine and cowardice.
• Cheerfulness, playfulness, curiosity, amusement.
• Another popular logo design color, yellow is associated with feelings of happiness and good cheer.
GREEN
• Evokes tranquility, health and freshness.
• Harmony, health and healing, nature and animals, money.
BLUE
• Evokes authority, dignity, security and faithfulness.
• Power, calmness, success, trustworthiness.
• The color of calm skies is the color that people associate with serenity and tranquility.


PURPLE
• Evokes sophistication, spirituality, costliness, royalty and mystery.
• Fantasy and dreams, justice, royalty.
• The color of royalty, magic and wonder, this is purple. Children are inexorably drawn to the color purple. It brings to mind the days of kings and queens, of lords and ladies, of princes and princesses. This is the color to use if your target consumers are children.
BROWN
• Evokes utility, earthiness, woodsy-ness and subtle richness.
• Earth and nature, simplicity, seriousness.
• Brown always evokes thoughts of nature and mother earth.

WHITE
• Evokes purity, truthfulness, being contemporary and refined.
• Simplicity, cleanliness, innocence
GRAY
• Evokes somberness, authority, practicality and a corporate mentality.
BLACK
• Evokes seriousness, distinctiveness, boldness and being classic
• Mystery, secrecy, tradition.
• Black is generally associated with death and misery. It is also symbolic of mysterious, exclusive and traditional things. Use black sparingly in your logo design. Use it for accents, not as the main color scheme.

Nice! We often use color wheel or color theory without thinking much about it - yet there is a lot of knowledge about colors, hues, setting tones together etc, I find this book very useful:
