Try exporting it to .png. Make sure that you check the Transparent option in the pop-up dialog box. When you open it in PS, you'll get the shape of your clipping mask with a transparent background. From there, you can save the file to whatever format you want. Hope this answer your question.

Firoz,

I did some testing to try an recreate your problem...I think I figured it out...I know how frustration these things can be..been there myself several times. I believe you are trying to use a clipping mask in the wrong way....from what you have posted it looks like you are getting an image result with the embedded image clipped surrounded by the extra inch of white space around the clipped image. Well, a the clipping mask is working correctly ( it is clipping the imbedded image to the right size) it will not clip the original size of your file though...which is what I think you are trying to do...reduce the actual SIZE of the image to 2x2...you need to change the SIZE of your artboard to 2x2 and you will end up with an image without the extra white space around the clipped image.... I know clear as mud right. If you have any questions...or my explaination fails...just relpy here...would enjoy trying to help more.

Regards, vet87

Just compound path all sime colors and cut it out... all the extra paths and points that is useless and slows down your process time.. lol Good Luck
