Hi,
Sorry if this might seem like a "necro" but, can someone explain when do guaranteed projects get closed down (winner gets selected by DC staff), if contest holder didn't select the winner for a long time? After what time this happens (if ever) and how does winner get selected in this case?

Hello there,
"The guaranteed contest means that contest holder will choose a winner in the contest.
A contestholder forfeits the %100 moneyback refund when the guarantee option has been chosen. If
the contestholder abandons the guaranteed contest, designcontest will hold a poll in the forums allowing
designers to choose the winner in the abandoned guaranteed contest. The designers are secured to
receive the prize money and can concentrate on the design. The 30 days of no action
from contestholder will still apply before a contest is determined abandoned."

It was guaranteed and it's now closed for a year or so, with no winner selected. Now, I didn't participate in it, but I'm curious about this voting that was mentioned. How does that work? I searched through forum a little and I didn't manage to find any example of what "like an angel" talked about.
Sorry if I'm bothering to much, I see you had lots of work to do in Designers Court forum.

Guaranteed payment is a good idea. Is there a procedure to provide your guarantee that they are going to keep the promise? I mean something like charging the client at the beginning of the contest and releasing it to the winner at the end.
