1. Launch your Adobe Fireworks and go to Windows menu->Layers
2. Go to File->Open and choose *.gif from the drop down list for file type.
3. Use the drop down list "Look in" and locate the animated GIF file you want to open , select it and click on Open.
4.The animated GIF will now open in your Adobe Fireworks. Note that the layer palette will list the animation frames as separate layers.
Importing GIF Animations into Adobe Fireworks
1. Launch your Adobe Fireworks and go to Windows menu->Layers
2. Go to File->Open and choose...
