As a student designer i found out that the times i noticed the most evolution in my work was when i was just practicing all day long. Just try to see what things u wanna learn, or things u wanna get better at..search google for tutorials and do them.
I could point you to Lynda.com since i learned alot from them.

Theres TONS of Youtube tutorials on tricks and tips for using illustrator. I have viewed many of them and they have helped me a lot!

Lynda.com is great if you need help with a specific tool in AI. Otherwise for inspiratiopn go to YouTube and type in "cool logo design AI" Lots of tutorial videos will pop up and show you cool techniques of other designers. Also, explore the GRAPHIC STYLES in AI - and mess around with the Appearance menu with those styles. Start with simple shapes. Have fun!
