using a special background in the logo would make the CH figure out what it looks like in actual. also, its awesome in presentation!

You can choose and put background as long as it's relevant to your topic, yet does not overpower the main object of your logo. Make sure it is not a distraction.

It gives CH also more options to view the logo

honestly not everyone agrees with the new rules, I'm one of them. I am adept with a clean sheet, perhaps with a contrast option. I think now the competitions in visual terms are very confusing. is my opinion, just have to respect the rules.
