Hi all,

I have bought some vector images to use with my template. They came in .ai , .jpg, .aes and .pdf format.
I open the .ai on illustrator i choose the elements i want everything looks great and sharp, i go to save for web and i see the quality going down. Same happens when i work them on Photoshop, i choose nearest neighbor and everything but still the final result is disappointing!
When i replace the stock template png with the one i have created the icon looks bad! why is that? what am i doing wrong?
ps: i am using retinaMBP

So you've made something in PS, bought a vector image to replace an element in your PS document but it always ends up in a low quality.. right?

What you can try: open the PDF in PS. When you get to the Import PDF dialog box, greatly increase image size so that you will get a very large image. Shouldn't be a problem to cut out the object you want and place it (hires) in your PS document.

Good luck!

Where are you seeing the loss in quality, when you view it in a browser or when you first save it?
