For me it's really helpfull for making simple illustrations or vectors for www. Much quicker that Photoshop and Illustrator.

It is quite a shame that Adobe discontinued Fireworks. I wish I had heard about it sooner! It sounds like a wonderful tool.

Hi Fireworks lets you control the appearance of all the objects down to the exact number of pixels and precise axis coordination.
