Many contest designers ignore safe zones on BC's
I notice many great Business card designs on 99 and other sites but I notice many of the designs entered...

I notice many great Business card designs on 99 and other sites but I notice many of the designs entered totally ignore safe zones around the edges and put text and graphics right to the edge. These are experienced designers and that is just basic knowledge but they also win with these designs. What is up with this?
