Anyone here is using Inkscape to design?
For vector-based program I think inkscape is very helpful to designing those who do not already have Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw. And more great in Inkscape license written "When we speak of free software, we are referring to freedom, not price."

Please share your opinion who designed using inkscape.

I remember once than I had a problem with my computer and I needed to do a quick job. Inkscape was available in my son´s computer, so I had to use it and was very helpful at that time. Of course, once the problem was solved in my main computer I returned to work in Corel. :)

Can someone PLEASE help me with my Inkscape files? I save as Plain SVG - but when I try to open them in AI, the text is missing. I really need step-by-step instructions please to get my Inkscape SVGs properly opening in Illustrator.

Try to convert the font to curves. This may help you.

How do you convert to AI? Is this built inside Inkscape?

I found out that saving a file with gradient colors in EPS format through inkscape turned out horribly on other programs. Instead of normal gradient colors they became "clipped images". Not good for scaling to a larger size. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

EDIT: I found this out through a CH it was quite embarrassing...
