Hi folks,

Please read carefully before answering.

I do NOT want to customize keyboard shortcuts that are already available to me. I repeat, I do NOT want to do this.

My situation is: I can't seem to find a keyboard shortcut to rename a layer in Ill. If it's there already in the shortcuts available, alright, then I will use it. BUT, since I can't find it, I want to go ahead and just CREATE my own, not customize what's already there.

So, how do i CREATE my own keyboard shortcuts in Ill?

THanks!

OFCS

I don't think there's a way but you can create shortcuts for commands that doesn't have one. Naming layers is frustrating sometimes.

If you record a new action (windows, acitions), you can set a function key. record and make a new layer. Next time you press the keys you assigned, it will make a new layer and you have the option to name the layer. otherwise if it's an existing layer, press F7 to open your layers and double click your layer to rename. Hope that helped
