Where does the white strip appear and how thick? Does the white strip appear in the actual saved file?

If it appears on the edges, you should resize the background graphic beyond the artboard bounds.

And post a screen shot next time.

I hear it's a problem of Illustrator . What version are you using?

Repositioning the graphics or transferring your work to a new AI file might solve this issue.

Is any part of the design a raster file/png? Because that raster files in illustrator can cause foxing around the edges

I am using CS5 on a 64-bit OS and I have never seen this issue. Is this the only design you have the problem with?

I honestly can't find anything online to solve this problem. Have you tried contacting Adobe yet?

Under the web and devices menu, look under the tab image size, and chech the box that says clip to artboard. If that does not work, double check your file and make sure nothing is beyond the border of the page. Good Luck.

Glad you figured it out! I don't know why I didn't think about it being a hardware related issue. :)

It happened to me before and worst case scenario, you can always try to rasterize your artwork (Object>Rasterize). That usually does the trick.

Sometime it's because the ruler tool that you used. When you hide the ruler guide, then try to save the artwork in jpeg, or print it out, it becomes like that. The solution is, delete the guides. I don't know about you guys, but it happened to me. :D
