A Designer copied my design idea in a Banner Design Contest

A design copied my design Idea. Am the one who used buildings in the design and got good feedback and rating. After a day, another designer copied and did minor changes and uploaded in the contest.

Then where is the point of creativity. I had already reported those designs but didn't get any solutions to that.

The Contest holder never insisted to use buildings in design brief. I came up with an Idea to deliver. But now its copied professionally.

Please take necessary Action.

Unfortunately I think the only person who can do something it's CH. He should ask for creativity and the designers should have more respect for themselves and for the other designers. Try to do the best and never be sure that you will win a contest, because it not depends only on you. The disappointment can be very big . Good luck!!

Not only this contest. So far participated in 4-5 contests. They are waiting for the right design to copy. I don't know where is the point of creativity. I reported the design but no action has been taken so far. I requested to make the contest blind in one contest. Later i got a mail that your comment has been removed by the moderator. Literally Disappointed.

I know what you say. But, those cases are always interpreted. That's why I said that only CH can do something, I met clients who eliminated the copied designs or asked for more creativity. Go for blind contest, it's less frustrating. I don't know about my comment being removed, did I said something wrong?

Please do not ask the client to make the contests blind. The ch is aware that this option is there to upgrade the contest. Comments are about your entries and or about the brief not for asking the client to make contest blind

You can however point out that you were the first to use buildings and now everyone is copying that, so the ch is aware that idea is your idea

I'm not sure this is outright copying. Is the banner for a certain city if so maybe that is one reason for the city buildings.

The ch has the right to want certain elements from the designers and even specific photos.

Design #15 is not the first design is used building. I had reported that design also. My entry got eliminated recently because i uploaded the revised design of the first design. How you saying its not copying. Did Contest Holder ever insisted in brief that am looking for design which used building .Its absolutely not people. We are creative people we must be unique.

honestly I don't think you can claim buildings if they are different than yours...... I still see the first entry to submit buildings is entry 15
