Here in holland the unilever logo caused a lot of comosion. it looks a lot
like the V&D logo (http://home.arcor.de...endlogoboom.jpg) A dutch warehouse. I still don't understand why there is a tree in the logo...

first of all.. the font choice is hideous, and the T references the subway.. why would you do that if the subway is faster and cheaper than a cab and if they don't interrelate in some way.. the kerning is terrible.. its just a disgrace to new york

What about the NYC taxi logo? It's terrible!
I agree! I think this is one instance where they might have been better off with what they had to begin with!

commotion? really? hehehe
for us, may be the right word was "puzzled". but then, after reading the new vision of the company... it was justified and the new logo become acceptable as time goes by. (as if we have the guts to protest. )
btw, i used to work in Unilever Philippines as a Creative Executive in our group.... we are responsible for all the creative requirements of the company.
