The decision is not entirely up to one person. There are two parts to the acceptance process:
1. Do you have the skill?
2. Are you able to make a commitment to this forum?
For #1, your portfolio will be reviewed. The work inside your portfolio will be assessed (all of your logos, websites, illustrations, etc).
For #2, we will create a poll where forum members vote. More information can be found here:

I tryed to apply some months ago but i was rejected. Then i got my responses and realised that i have to accomplish some tasks to become a member:
- personal portfolio
- be an active member of the forum
- 1 PapyPal account
The most important is a resonable portfolio and i will be a proud (of myself when i will become a) Design Team Member.

I had applied several days ago but I have the skill, the work, the paypal account, so how long does it usually take to respond to a Design Team Member request?

Update: There's a bit of a glitch with the e-mail system at the moment. Certain key features that I use for book-keeping are unavailable. Due to this I may not get a chance to sort through the new applications this weekend. That having been said, I will still take care of them as soon as possible. Thanks again for your patience everyone!

Hi Koenve, i was about to ask you or Brand7 if any of you got a response, 'coz i haven't 'till today.
Do you got some message Brand7?
I have not heard anything yet. They say it takes upwards of a month. Just be patient. If it has been over a month I might say something just to check in and let them know you are still here.

I replied to about 25 apps. last month. Right after that, my midterms kicked in (in University), so that's basically what the extra "half month" was dedicated to. Sorry about that everyone, I'll be going through the rest in the next few days and I'll notify anyone whose application I don't have.
