Hello, I've just been invited to my second 1-on-1 project, and I have already finished one.

I was wondering if it can be somehow  simplified , for example:

1. negotiation: clients asks for a design and suggests a price, designer accepts it or increases it, and so on till the price is ok for both

2. feedback stage: designer uploads files, customer checks them and asks for revisions till all files are OK

3. final approval: customer approves the files, designer signs the transfer agreement, payment is released once both approved.

I'm asking this because I noticed that customers do not often respond quickly, so I wonder if it's also a matter of notifies t  (I don't know if they receive notifies through the site only or by email too). In my opinion they should be notified by email too, for every message and new file upload, but I'm not really sure as I'm probably not experienced enough (hence not developed enough patience, I don't know). Can other designers confirm same experience about time ?

Thank you for your time reading or responding to this

Yes, sorry, I explained my point wrong. My point was to merge some stages, example:

- when designer accepts the budget, at the first stage of negotiation, he signs the agreement at the same time. Negotiation and transfer agreement in one stage (the designer agrees with sending the rights of any file which will be uploaded during the project).

- when customer accepts the files, he approves the project (and payment is directly released). So when customer finally approves the source files, he also approves payment and he agrees with requiring no further revisions.

As for now, I see it's like:

-negotiation (customers and designers decide the price of the project)

-feedback (designers upload source files, customer asks for revisions)

-customer accepts the files

-designer is asked to approve the transfer agreement

-customer is finally asked to approve the project (payment is finally released)

In my humble opinion, it could be easier if it was like:

- negotiation (customers and designer decide the price, when designer accepts the price he also signs the transfer agreement)

- feedback/upload stage (nothing different)

- customer accepts the files (and directly approves payment, project finishes).

About deadline, if I can ask for another question, what does happen when a 1-on-1 project expire? Is the payment blocked until the customer has checked the files, even if the files are correctly uploaded?

@emanuelepepi86 if the project expires and you have no sign of CH for a week there are 2 options

1. The CH liked something you have done and asked for source files - It's good to tell the CH you uploaded source files and that he has to start the agreement. A week after you uploaded files if no sign of CH, you may contact Sharie to help finalization

2. The CH is not happy and abandoned the project - you can contact Sharie to help solve the issue

That's what I did, but after months... still no payment or response from customers. I tried to be as polite as possible, probably the customer got the files but didn't check finalization so the money is still there. Yeah.

Sir, I want to ask, what if the deadline in 1 project 1 has finished, while the price negotiations have not been agreed because the parties have not been online yet, does that mean the project is canceled?
