Thanks for denying me on the design team, this just shows that people are elitists.

Telling me my work isn't up to your standards what the hell does that even mean?

Like I have a poor standard behind my work, I will stand behind my work 100%, never fail. I have room for improvement I do not doubt that, but hell you dont even give people you think have potential a trial period.

Oh well, thanks for nothing.

You are welcome!
actually it is not only about design work but also professionalism in dealing with all kinds of situations. In the future when your design skills are improved you will see that professionalism is not only high quality design work, but also dealing with your clients and your coworkers (if you are to work in a team). And overreacting to constructive criticism is not very professional.

Well the way it was worded it was not constructive. I have a full time job, this is just for fun and thought I would be able to bring in my unique skill set to this organization.

Maybe I should not take it personal but, especially when waiting so long to hear something, it seems very trivial.

I have worked with plenty of people in the past so, I really dont need a lesson in the dynamics of working with a team thank you very much. I do that at my current job as well as work on my own.

Sorry if I have over-reacted, i just have a lot on my plate and seeing that was not exactly a thrilling thing to see after waiting over 2 months for a response.

If you are going to talk about working with people then you should understand people need answers quickly, especially if they are on a deadline.

It's not my favorite outcome either, I assure you; especially since it took longer than usual. For the record though, I don't think this post was very appropriate. I hoped that you would contact me personally instead of venting your frustration publicly.

The reply you received was a fairly standard reply --it wasn't crafted on the spot to put you down. I'm sure your standards are fine, but no matter how you would choose to phrase it, the point is that we can't have you on the team at this time.

well, portfolio is half of it......and the other part, is right here...
how you act as part of the Designcontest community.....all of the moderators, administrators are volunteer, and the admin incharge of the team applications receives many, it takes awhile to to through.
I'd try to build up your portfolio, and change your attitude to more positive, in the design world, its best not to take things personal;)

What happens If you cant join the design team "brand7". Why are you making this such a big problem.. Improve your skills, find your own customers, and try to do some stuff by yourself. I think, getting denied is nothing to do with your skills. Just your design, and your creativity. We all got skills, just we should improve them. However, creativity is another thing.

Anyways dont act like a child like that again please.. Professionalism is very important in this job, keep cool, and wait for the right time.

Good luck for the next time brand7 :)
