I also love helvetica. Easy to customize and very readable. But it depends on the design.

That's an excellent question. I'm a font person so it's really tough for me to pick only one that I can call my favorite. But gun to my head, I'd have to choose Bleeding Cowboy.

I was wonder are there any rules of choosing suitable typeface for logo design for different type of industries?

I don't know if there are any rules...but my own are something like this:

1. Industry/commericial ultra-modern: sans serif, usually use all CAPS or all lowercase
2. Industry/commercial traditional: serif, all CAPS
3. " " old company revamping themself: serif for main wording, sans for additional wording

Also, depending on how it will be used (t shirts, stationary, etc. vs. large signs) will also determine whether it is serif or sans.

Just some thoughts!
