Never had a problem like this. Check the snaps and other settings in your illustrator.

yellow_bagpack, tell me please:
1. when you draw straight line do you press shift?
2. please try to draw it and check in "Transform" - on H or W it must be 0 (hope you understand what I'm talking about)

serafima.. i understand that.. thanks.. what i did is when i make line from 2 anchor point and when i zoom in look at the line, it isn't straight and flawless.. no matter how i moved the anchor. i tried to snap the anchor points to guide line but have not any effect, it still jiggy.. won't be a problem much if the line is short (when you zoom out).. but if the line is long enough, it becomes terrible. ( sorry for the confusion.. :) ).. but after all this happen occasionally not all thetime, sorry for troubling you (but i still want the answer cause it's annoying.. hahahaha..)

"Jiggy" is a very vague term, could you attach a (small) example.

Maybe you somehow set a brush on standard instead of normal line. Try removing all brushes that are open or loaded.

yellow_bagpack, let's do it step by step.
1) open your file: untitled-1.ai
2) select second line by selection tool (V)
3) Window > Transform (Shift+F8)
4) Set H=0 pix (current value is 1 pix)
5) Check result! :)

Another way to draw straight line at one stroke: click by Pen Tool (P), press Shift, click another, release Shift. Voila!

Did it solve your problem?

Try to press shift while you are doing your line, that way you will have a 100% straight line, that also works for circles.

Good luck!! :)

Smart Guide (Ctrl U) also sometimes useful to draw straight line without dragging.

It's possible you have a crappy video card and it can't redraw vector graphics well.

For anyone who's having a similar problem, keep in mind that many minor details like this, which show up when zoomed in upon, will never show up when printed, or even viewed on a monitor at normal magnification. Also, I've experienced a situation when lines will look slightly "crooked" at say, 150%, perfectly straight at 200%, then crooked again at 300% magnification. Just a function of the monitor, I think.

But again, there are many times when issues like these won't ever affect your finished product.
